equivalent single-wheel load

The mass that, supported by a single wheel just large enough not to sink significantly into the surface, causes the same peak bending moment in airfield pavement as a particular wheel, or other multiwheeled gear of the actual aircraft. This is used to calculate the load classification number (LCN) and the aircraft classification number (ACN). See also aircraft classification number and load classification number.
